Robert E. Binks Wildlife Artist - About the Artist

The journey for Bob Binks to his present position in the world of art has been fairly direct even though his goals have sometimes changed.

In his youth, Bob's desire was to produce art for the major magazines, which catered to the outdoorsmen. Over time, the wildlife and outdoors subjects remained but the goal changed to that of producing original paintings and limited edition works. His 1979 First of State Florida Duck Stamp was one such highlight. Followed by his selection in South Carolina as the 1982 duck stamp artist and as the designer of Florida's first turkey stamp Bob's entry into the wildlife art field took a leap toward nationwide recognition.

Bob has produced numerous pieces for Ducks Unlimited and other such conservation organizations. His popularity in these areas led to more venues.

Bob was a regular exhibitor at the Easton Waterfowl Festival for twenty plus years while expanding his collector base. Both corporations and individuals broadly collect his work. In addition, Bob has been chosen as an exhibitor in the prestigious "Birds in Art" by the Leigh-Yawkey-Woodson Museum. Bob’s work hangs in several permanent collections including the state museums of Florida and South Carolina.
