The journey for
Bob Binks to his present position in the world of art has been
fairly direct even though his goals have sometimes changed.
In his youth, Bob's
desire was to produce art for the major magazines, which catered
to the outdoorsmen. Over time, the wildlife and outdoors subjects
remained but the goal changed to that of producing original paintings
and limited edition works. His 1979 First of State Florida Duck
Stamp was one such highlight. Followed by his selection in South
Carolina as the 1982 duck stamp artist and as the designer of
Florida's first turkey stamp Bob's entry into the wildlife art
field took a leap toward nationwide recognition.
