About the
Artist
Robert began exhibiting his works in North
Carolina in 1972. Every year for eight years he won "Best in Show" at one
particular show and in 1976, was named "Wildlife Artist of the Year" by the
North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

In 1980, Robert initiated Florida Ducks Unlimited Sponsor
Print Program, underwritten by the Coca Cola Company. He was also commissioned by Red
Lobster Restaurants, Inc. to produce prints for Ducks Unlimited's national fund raising
efforts.
He was selected as featured artist at the Myrtle Beach
Wildlife Exposition in 1998 and 1999. He was chosen for membership in the international
"Society of Animal Artists" and participated in several of the Societies'
exhibits around the country. Robert was also elected to "Who's Who in Americas'
Waterfowl Art." |
 Robert designed the First of State duck stamp and turkey
stamp for Florida as well as winning the national competition to design the 1982 South
Carolina duck stamp. Binks' originals are in many private collections, corporate
collections and in the Museums of Natural History in both Florida and South Carolina.
